Visualization is possibly one of the most underrated techniques in sport psychology, but also a really relaxing way to mentally prepare yourself for just about any upcoming situation.

Imagine you are standing in the middle of your favorite team’s arena. You are wearing a jersey with your name on the back, and everyone is chanting your name.

Pretty cool huh?

You can imagine yourself:

Scoring the winning goal of a big game!

Responding to a bad call by the referee

Passing the ball to a teammate

Receiving a pass from a teammate

Discussing the game with your coach – what you would say

…and much more!
